Uk Gamblers are a Third of All European Web Bettors

The web gambling industry in the UK has increased two fold in 5 years, with greater than one million bettors regularly wagering via the net. According to a poll administered by the Dept. of Culture, Media and Sport, English bettors make up about one-third of Europe’s estimated total of 3.3 million online gamblers.
The typical amount wagered by every bettor is estimated at £1,000, with the European business now valued at three point five billion pounds each year.
Amidst the seventy web betting sites in the UK, none are gaming websites advertising card games like poker and blackjack. A majority of the globe’s two thousand internet wagering casinos are stationed in locations with dubious web wagering rules. Antigua and Costa Rica are responsible for for more than 1,000 sites between them.
The Gov’t in the UK is hoping to introduce rules and a tax system to streamline the working of the web betting industry. With this type of regulatory framework in place, web betting activities would be observed and the business can hope to achieve even greater heights in the in the years to come.
