Net Casino Sucker Bets — Part II

  • Progressive side wagers: Games such as Caribbean Stud Poker regularly have one of these. You generally place a bet ($1 is the usual amount) to attempt to win a bonus jackpot that could be upwards of twenty-five thousand dollars. Though big jackpots like these are very appealing, they’re also very hard to win. You would have to hit a Royal Flush in order to hit this wager. Also, imagine this- you wager twenty hands and make the side bet each time. That’s twenty dollars you could have used towards the actual game bet instead of a sucker wager. Picture what you could have been able to win at a wager with greater odds using that 20 dollars.
  • Individual number wagers in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has two zeroes on the wheel, as opposed to European Roulette, which has only one. This takes the overall casino advantage from 2.63percent with one zero wheel to a whopping 5% in American. The individual number bet has only a one in thirty eight chance of succeeding, which are very big odds indeed. Try even-odd or black-red bets alternately which have a much lower house advantage.
  • Keno: Any version of Keno, and regardless of how you gamble on it, the casino advantage can be a huge twenty-five percent. No, that wasn’t a error. Because of the large set of numbers you have to pick, it isn’t recommended to play Keno very much. A few times for enjoyment, perhaps. But do not spend all your money on it or you will quickly find yourself beaten.
